In photos: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid attends UAE Tour 2023 stages in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the fourth stage of the UAE Tour 2023 on Thursday, held in Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed also attended other stages of the tour, and the UAE Tour Women 2023

Sheikh Mohammed greeted the contestants on the fourth stage as they cycled along the tour route in the Al Marmoom area. A total of 137 professional riders representing 20 teams from across the world are competing in the international cycling tournament.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied by Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Chairman of Protocols for the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE; and Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council.

The fourth stage of the UAE Tour 2023, which started in the Al Shindagha neighbourhood, covers a distance of 174 kilometres. The route, which passes through Al Qudra, Expo City Dubai, and the Palm Jumeirah, ends in Dubai Harbour.

On February 9, Sheikh Mohammed greeted the cyclists in the inaugural ‘UAE Tour Women 2023’ as they passed along Bu Kadra bridge. The tournament has drawn 120 professional riders representing 20 teams from across the world.

The first stage of the ‘UAE Tour Women 2023’ covered a distance of 109 kilometres between Port Rashid and Dubai Harbour.

Dubai stages of the UAE Tour: There were road closures in place on Thursday for the Dubai leg of the tournament.

UAE Tour 2023 contestants in Expo City Dubai: The tournament is organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and will conclude in Abu Dhabi on Sunday (February 26)

The route for the final stage of the tour will be from Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium to Jebel Hafeet in Abu Dhabi.
