Meet Aleksandar Alex Ilic, Bollywood star Disha Patani's new rumoured beau

In her latest post, Bollywood star Disha Patani has added fuel to fire on rumours about a new boyfriend – model and aspiring actor Aleksandar Alex Ilic. The couple attended Mohit Rai’s birthday party, and the photos reportedly show them in their party outfits.

On Friday, Patani shared images with her 55.5 million followers in which she is dressed in a black dress with geometric and arty cutouts showing off the star’s fit physique. The second photo is an elevator shot which features Serbian model Ilic taking the photo with the star. There was no caption on the photo slider.

The couple have repeatedly denied relationship rumours though they feature in each other’s social media very frequently. In an interview with Bombay Times, Ilic said, “ I see how this guessing game has been going on for a few weeks. The thing is that we know the truth. I don't understand why people need to guess about what is going on? Why can't they just let other people live their own lives peacefully? We just laugh off these stories.”

Fans have been doing a lot of speculating about Ilic, some alleging that he is her personal trainer while others claimed he was part of her security detail. The rumours of the two being a couple started after they were spotted visiting Mumbai restaurants together.

Patani was reportedly dating Tiger Shroff for a few years before breaking things off. This news, in addition to the fact that the Serbian features heavily on her social media pages, kicked off the fan frenzy surrounding the rumoured relationship. Tiger Shroff's sister Krishna commented “Gainzzz” on the photos on Friday, adding a fire emoji.

In an interview, Ilic added, “I am from Serbia and have been living in India for the past seven years. I began as a model and then ventured into acting.” The two met in Mumbai, according to reports.

Aleksandar is allegedly close friends with Natasa Stankovic, a Serbian dancer and model who is the partner of Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya.

Aleksandar kicked off his career in India by working as a model before venturing into acting, which he says is more lucrative at the moment. He has reportedly also shot for a Hindi movie.

He has spoken about what it’s like to be an actor in India and how he has watched various movies to learn the skill. As for his favourite Bollywood star — it’s Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
