Suranga Perera: “Excellent evacuation..best safety standards in #Emirates #DubaiAirport #DubaiCivilDefense”

Andrea D’Cunha: “Glad all passengers and crew are safe.

Rest In Peace Jasim Issa Mohammed Hassan, brave fire fighter who died while putting out the flames!”

Maria Ochinang-Conjares: “Job very well done to the cabin crew who evacuated everyone safely. Passengers treat crew very badly on a lot of flights but who do you depend on in times like this? They are not only about serving food, cabin crew can and will save your life!”

Anup Mathew: “I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family of the UAE firefighter Jasim Al Baloushi.

I represent my country in prayers to grant you eternal peace.

Your sacrifice has led to many of the passengers who shall live to see another day. May your family be showered with countless blessings, to raise a selfless person like you.”

Suneel Sharma: “My flight was today and my visa also expires by today, I booked my ticket for tomorrow, but I’m confused about my visa.”

However, Dubai Airports in a statement confirmed that they were actively working with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs (immigration) and Dubai Police to assist passengers with issues relating to visa expiry and lost passports.

Sandra Camacho Otero: “Yesterday I was walking around that time in my neighborhood (Rusell Square) in London. My cousin, who is visiting, told me felt an atmosphere of insecurity but This incident brought memories of 7/7 flooding back - like the bus that had been blown up in that terrorist attack had been just up the road. After the news this morning, I guess no more late night walks for me.”

Brian Sirrell: “Live everyday to the max and do whatever you want. Because you don’t when these nutters are going to get you. And it will only keep gettin worse, everyday.‪#rip”
