Passing a weird or funny comment on someone’s body figure can be easy, but how this affects that person should be considered. Not just women, but men also get sarcastic comments about their physique and get countless personal remarks. A lot of remarks can leave a person disturbed and unhappy about him or herself.
Passing inappropriate comments to a person on his or her physical frame throws a negativity on that person. We often hear about different incidents related to body shaming. Celebrities are often criticised for their looks and body structure. One can deal with body shaming with self-love and confidence. If you are a victim of body shaming, then the first important thing is not to underestimate yourself. You should accept your body and looks whatever you have. If you have confidence, no one can criticise you.
Try to figure out the real problem. Everyone wants to look attractive and you can also. Give time to yourself and avoid stress or negativity. If you are overweight, it’s okay because that doesn’t define you.
Everyone should spend some time exercising and going for walks rather than thinking about other people who harass you. Tell the negative people in your life how their advice is unwelcome in your life.
Body shaming can really make a person feel pathetic and awful, but instead of sulking about your looks do not give importance to those people who make you feel depressed. Try to be with positive people and in good company. Remember good friends will always make you feel comfortable – not pitiful.
Comments about being too skinny or too fat or how you should work on your body can make you feel upset, but there’s no need to get worked up and you should speak straight to the offending person and explain how his or her negative remarks hurt. Be support for people who are victims of body shaming. Tell them how to take such negative statements and how to be confident and happy for whatever they have.
Take inspiration from famous great personalities who have tackled body shaming very cleverly and put a stop to people’s harsh words by confronting them.
