Dubai: Dubai Municipality has launched ‘Amanah’, a new online platform that enables residents to confidentially report public hygiene issues and civic violations. This initiative is part of the municipality’s commitment to enhancing transparency, governance, and public safety while ensuring confidentiality for those submitting reports.

What is ‘Amanah’?

The ‘Amanah’ platform aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of increasing public engagement and accountability. It is similar to the ‘Al Ameen’ service provided by Dubai Police, which allows residents to report security-related concerns confidentially. However, while Al Ameen focuses on law enforcement and safety matters, ‘Amanah’ is specifically designed for civic violations under Dubai Municipality’s jurisdiction.

Residents can use ‘Amanah’ to report a variety of issues, including:

  • Environmental infractions

  • Illegal waste disposal

  • Regulatory breaches related to Dubai Municipality’s services

How to use ‘Amanah’

To submit a report, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official Dubai Municipality website: https://amanah.dm.gov.ae/P/Root/Amanah.html?Lang=en

  2. Enter your personal details: Provide your full name, email address, and mobile number.

  3. Specify your role: Select whether you are a customer or an employee.

  4. Describe the issue: Choose the type of complaint, enter the details, and upload any supporting documents or images.

  5. Submit the report: Click ‘Submit’ and await a follow-up from Dubai Municipality through your registered contact details.

According to Dubai Municipality, the ‘Amanah’ platform underscores the emirate’s ongoing efforts to engage the public in maintaining the city’s cleanliness and regulatory standards while ensuring the confidentiality of those who report concerns. Residents are encouraged to utilise the platform to help uphold the city’s high standards of hygiene and governance.
