Quarter-final day at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships saw fans turn up at the court in fancy dress to support their favourites

Probably helped by the incredible calibre of players on court, people really went that extra mile for Fantastic Fan Day at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Murray, Federer, Djokovic, Tsonga, Berdych were all in action as people packed the Dubai Tennis Stadium to support.
Flags, hand-made banners, personalised jackets, dresses, hats, face paint, bunting and even a bit of fancy dress all contributed to a great atmosphere on quarter-final day.
And after a day of snapping the fans, it was Austrian doubles duo Alexander Peya and Julian Knowle who had the tough job of picking the winner. Having just beaten Michaël Llodra of France and Nenad Zimonji of Serbia, taking two sets 7-6 7-6, it didn't take the pair long to unanimously single out Mike Reavy from the UK.
Dressed in 1980s' tennis gear, complete with former US tennis star John McEnroe wig, Reavy really entered into the spirit of the day. "It's a lovely day with some of the best players on the court," he said. "I think it's just a shame more people don't get involved."
Knowle and Peya didn't take too long to decide, the only contenders were four youngsters from Scotland with their faces painted. "Kids are always hard to disappoint," he said. "They look so good but Mike really looks like he has gone for it."
Asked whether the McEnroe look would be something the guys would strive for, they laughed and said it wasn't on top of their fashion priority lists.
Reavy won two tickets to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships ATP finals tonight.
