Miss World contestants go for gold in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Thursday evening saw glamour being brought back to the capital as contestants from Miss World participated in a fashion show in Yas Hotel.

This event in the UAE is one is a series that the contestants have participated in leading up to the Miss World pageant on December 12 in South Africa.

With the hotel providing the setting and ambiance, the participants showcased evening dresses that were created by distinguished South African designers under this year's theme 'City of Gold'.

Afterwards, the contestants mingled with attendees of the event. This provided attendees with a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with not only representatives from their home country, but also from around the world.
