Fashionistas attending the fourth day of the Dubai Fashion Week were part of a celebration - 100 Years of Beauty - with L'Oreal Paris and Amber Feroz, the internationally acclaimed designer.
Ferroz was inspired by the limited edition make-up collection for his spring/summer 2010 collection.
"We're delighted as it came together so seamlessly, inspired by L'Oreal Paris's glamour-packed portfolio of sizzling make-up trends," said the 29-year-old designer.
Models displayed loose, flowing dresses with a sheen to them. "My inspiration is women," Feroz said. "I design an ensemble as the ideas evolve and create it depending on how a woman would wear it."
More specifically, he said he was inspired by an imaginary girl who uses traditional accessories, metal and leather. That's why many of his aqua, blue, fuchsia and beige creations have molten chiffons and silken spandex with embroidered leather belts and straps.
Sarah Baldry, leading member of the make-up team backstage, said the limited edition products were a result of 100 years of research, which enabled L'Oreal to create cosmetics in unique shades, with added brilliance and depth, shine and shimmer.
"The mission in designing the colours was to bring more positivity and happiness considering what we've been experiencing in the past two years," Baldry said.
The collection emphasised aquas and blues, which can be used to create either a strong, vibrant effect or gentler pastel tones.
