It's a hip thing

Eureka! I got the New York down. Joy and jubilation. The salsa fanatics out there will know what I'm talking about.

There's Bow Tie, Shadow, Crossover, Position Five and New York, to name but a few sultry and infectious moves. I know salsa isn't everybody's cup of tea but it's a fantastic way to shake a few pounds off your hips while getting rid of tension.

The leg-work and the hip-shaking, plus bags and bags of attitude - If washing toilets hasn't cooled Naomi's hothead then I strongly recommend Salsa.

Position five

I don't know what it is but when Simon, the salsa instructor, yells out: "POSITION FIVE!" - it's show time. It's not so much a position as a pose but it oozes character.

A couple of turns doing Position Five is the perfect outlet after a stressful day whether battling heavy traffic, a pending deadline or difficult personal assistants. A twist, a shimmy, a twirl and ... strike a pose. Now repeat that 10 times at Energizer-bunny velocity.

If Position Five was an outfit or a look it'd be British designer Giles Deacon's new collection for Mulberry. Or possibly, Reiss's sassy spring/summer collection, especially the menswear section.

Full gusto

So, if you fancy a dose of passion in your fashion, guys, roll up your trousers and wear them loose on your hips, wear your tie like a scarf and tie a jumper around your waist (or over your shoulders if you're over 40).

Whatever you wear or however you wear it do - it with full gusto. Give it some! Imagine Joaquin Cortés in a steamy nightclub in Rio strutting his stuff like a wild cat while his female counterpart gyrates in a frilly, tiered skirt (or a tea towel, hypothetically speaking, of course) and a loose and colourful top. AY, QUE RICA! Say what?

Brand focus: Mulberry for Giles

Stuart Vevers, design director at Mulberry, has driven a collaboration between Giles Deacon and the luxury leather goods house to create a range of accessories to accompany the Giles spring/summer 2007 collection.

The 10 piece collection has enabled the pair to produce a highly distinctive range of accessories that has given Mulberry a catwalk presence alongside an esteemed British designer.

The exciting new collection is stocked at Villa Moda, Emirates Towers (Villa Moda is soon to be re-named Boutique 1 ... grab tabloid! next week to see what's in store for you).
