School bus drivers need to be more careful

I am a resident of Al Nahda area, Sharjah, and I want to address an issue that is causing serious concern in our neighbourhood.

While I wait for a taxi during the morning rush hour, around 6.20am, to take me to the school where I work, I notice many bus drivers stopping the vehicle in the middle of the lane to pick up students.

This is causing a serious traffic hold up across the bridge (as seen in the photograph) and frustrated drivers are having to wait for a long time until the bus moves.

I am mainly concerned about the safety of the school children in such cases. How can the parents and the school entrust the safety of young children in the hands of such irresponsible drivers?

The bus could be parked slightly ahead in order to avoid causing traffic congestion and forcing other motorists to be rash. They are often seen trying to overtake the bus. There are proper areas where buses can stop and allow students to board, so why should such drivers cause inconvenience to other people commuting to their places of work early in the morning?

I would greatly appreciate it if this issue was addressed and proper action was taken against these dangerous bus drivers.
