The Samari residential compound located in Ras Al Khor area, Dubai, currently houses about 1,000 families.
Now, many of these families fear being crushed by the hundreds of heavily loaded trucks that are illegally parked around this beautiful compound.
Schoolbuses carrying children, private cars with families and all others who want to enter or exit this compound have to face this horrendous situation.
They are forced to dodge trucks on uneven mud paths, since a stable tar road is missing.
The developers should take this matter very seriously and work along with the authorities concerned for the safety of families and children living in this area.
I have visited the neighbourhood as I was scouting for a home there, but I was discouraged by the situation. The question I kept asking myself is: "Do I need to witness a death one morning?" I am sure there are many people like me who may have taken a step back because of this risk factor.
I hope the relevant authorities will take the necessary action at the earliest.
