Al Khan beach in a mess

Gulf News reader T. Kanji took this photograph at Al Khan beach in Sharjah.

He said: “Not long ago, this was a pristine beach stretching from Al Khan to Layyah. But it appears construction sites along the beach have found it a convenient area for dumping waste. Rusted nails, wooden planks, concrete debris — they are posing a danger to beach-goers on a daily basis, apart from ruining the beach and being an eyesore.”
