Chrysler Jeep introduces 3.7-litre Cherokee 2008 in UAE market
Abu Dhabi: Chrysler Jeep on Monday introduced a new model - the 210 bhp, 3.7 litre - All-New Jeep Cherokee 2008 - priced at Dh105,000 at the opening of its new showroom in Abu Dhabi by Western Motors, the sole distributor of the US-based automaker for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
The model is Jeep's seventh after Patriot, Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee SRT8 and Commander.
All the models are gasoline-driven and their prices range from Dh82,000 - Dh215,000, ex-showroom. The top-end model is the 430 bhp-Grand Cherokee SRT8.
Western Motors, a member of the Al Fahim Group, said its new showroom on Abu Dhabi's Corniche Road covers an area of 400 square metres and has space to display 11 Jeep vehicles.
Investment
"This new showroom is just one of the many investments in the future of Jeep in Abu Dhabi planned by Western Motors that will take place this year - the clear objective is to make Jeep vehicles the most sought cars in the market by providing the highest level of customer satisfaction in sales and after-sales," said Kamal Rafih, general manager of Western Motors.
"We are confident that with such a strong and exciting product line-up, we will achieve significant sales and after sales growth this year and in the future," he said.
Western Motors, however, declined to provide Chrysler Jeep Cherokee's projected sales figures for 2008 and the actual number of Jeep vehicles it sold in 2007 in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
