Ding ding ding! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Welcome to this week's main attraction: The Bananaramas versus The Arctic Monkeys.
Bananarama
The Bananaramas are Sara Dellin and Keren Woodwar, friends since childhood.
The group was formed back in 1981 in London. Their first hit single It Ain't What You Do (1982), landed at No. 4 in the UK charts.
After a couple of successful hit singles, the girls released their first album in 1983 titled Deep Sea Skiving. They were so successful that they entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful girl group ever.

Drama
Their latest album proves one thing - the girls have rewritten pop music rules!
The album is a combination of dance, electro and ballad elements. The first track on the album, Move In My Direction, is definitely a chart topper.
Other tracks like Look On The Floor and Feel For You will please Bananarama and dance music fans alike. There are a few slow ballads - Waterfall and Middle Of Nowhere. Highly recommended!
Arctic Monkeys
The monkeys are: Alex Turner (guitars, lead vocalist), Jamie Cook (guitars), Andy Nicholson (bass), and Matt Helders (drums).
It was about three years ago when Alex and Jamie, having gotten their guitars as Christmas gifts, decided to start practising, later teaming up with Andy and Matt.
Even before the release of their new album, the monkeys were already on their way to the top. People were downloading their music and attending their gigs - and at the time the monkeys didn't even have a record deal!

Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not (2006)
The band's debut album: the first track, The View From The Afternoon, predicts a ruckus with a whole lot more grit than the Kaisers can muster.
I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor was an instant hit in the UK; I predict it will top UAE charts soon. Fake Tales from San Francisco is another potential hit.
Riot Van and Perhaps Vampire Is A Bit Strong have lyrics and music that are simply brilliant.
The writer is a hot new DJ on the UAE scene just out of university, who parties as hard as he loves the turntables
