VFS visa application center to move premises

 Dubai: Those wishing to apply for a Schengen or UK visa for their summer holiday will now have to apply from the new VFS center.

The VFS UK visa application center, as well as JVAC (Joint Visa Application Center), which provides the framework and sets up appointments for those applying for a Schengen visa, will both open their doors to the public in a new joint application center located on the second level of Wafi Mall, in Falcon, Phase 2.

VFS has put up posters all over the application centers informing applicants of the move, which will occur over the dates of June 3 and 4, with the new center opening its doors to the public on June 5. As a result, no visa requests will be accepted during the two-day move.

At the JVAC office on Al Mina Road in the Jumeirah Palms Residence building are posters which read: “We Are Moving. Schengen Visa Application Center Dubai is moving to Wafi Mall from June 5.”

Although the business hours of 0900 to 1700 Sunday to Thursday, will remain unchanged the new 45,000 square feet center will host the application services of 12 countries, including Schengen states Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Denmark, Malta and Austria, as well as the UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, India and Singapore.

Those who have already applied for a visa and have a passport collection date later than June 2, should contact the new center in Wafi Mall.
