Abu Dhabi: Smart play equipment is set to be installed across the Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s projects this year at a cost of Dh62 million, the Municipality said in a statement on Monday.
The equipment will facilitate play in public spaces, simultaneously converting kinetic energy to electrical energy that can be used to recharge phones or to light up and cool the space.
The municipality’s statement said the new equipment will also support the UAE’s drive towards energy sustainability, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle among residents.
