Pure Gold Jewellers help Typhoon Bopha victims

Dubai: Pure Gold Jewellers has donated $50,000 (Dh183,650) to help Typhoon Bopha victims in the Philippines by rebuilding their communities.

The donation was made to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the Philippine Government agency primarily responsible for the delivery of relief assistance and services to victims of natural disasters.

According to the Consulate General of the Republic of Philippines in the UAE, more than five million people have been affected by the typhoon where livelihoods of many farmers and fishermen have been damaged, and many people have been displaced.
