Containers to collect clothes in Dubai mosques have been distributed

Dubai: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) is continuing its “Used Clothes Bank” initiative, which aims to reuse the used clothes for charitable and environmental purposes.

The department has distributed containers to collect clothes in Dubai mosques. The initiative has already used the revenue in other charitable projects and has provided needy people with clothes. The projects include sponsoring patients’ medical fees, people in debt, the elderly, and people with special needs.

“All members of society, individuals and establishments, are welcome to participate in this initiative. For complaints and suggestions about the initiative please call 80092327,” said Abdullah Al Khubbi,chairman of the Event and Donation Licensing Section.
