Frozen popcorn at Novo Cinemas in UAE

To celebrate World Popcorn Day on January 19, Novo Cinemas will introduce frozen popcorn — a permanent addition to their Ibn Battuta and Dubai Festival City Mall branches.

The Dh7.50, 12 ounce concoction features safe-to-consume liquid nitrogen, which flash freezes the snack. The confection is added right before being served, through ‘nitro shots’. The popped kernels should freeze within seconds as their flavours intensify. It comes in one of two flavours — salted or caramel. The shots also give off vapour clouds when chewed.

Novo Cinemas will soon introduce new flavours of popcorn to its menu, including Double Chocolate, Orange, Masala, Spicy Buffalo and more.
