Wasla Arabic alternative music fest returns to Dubai

Cairokee, Autostrad, Lekhfa among performances in February at the Dubai Design District

Wasla Arabic Alternative Music Festival is gearing up for its upcoming edition at Dubai Design District (d3) on February 2.

The billed acts are from all over the world: Cairokee (Egypt), Autostrad (Jordan), Lekhfa (Egypt), Hayajan featuring Alaa Wardi (Jordan), Tania Saleh (Lebanon), Gnawa Diffusion (Algeria) and Majaz (Bahrain).

“Celebrating our Arabic roots and culture is what continues to drive us to push our Wasla platform forward for the creative and performing arts. This second festival will allow us to shed light on even more rising and established artists and this time in D3, the district that is known for nurturing local emerging talent and thinkers,” said Mustafa Abdul Hamid, Wasla’s marketing director.

Genres range from folk to rock, pop, metal, bossa nova, jazz, electronica, psychedelia, roots, reggae and beyond.

Early bird tickets are Dh195, regular tickets are Dh245.
