Fireworks festival to brighten DSF

Dubai: Fireworks festival, slated to be the most attractive visual treat for visitors during Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2008, will witness a grand start along with the festival on January 24.

To be held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for the whole period of DSF till February 24, the fireworks festival will unveil some of the most advanced pyrotechnics used in the region yet.

The highlight of the fireworks display will be based beside Al Seef Street at the Dubai Creek where a floating barge will launch around 300 fireworks per minute, compared to the normal 100.

The show will begin at 8pm.

Visitors on either side of the Creek will be able to watch a spectacular display of colour, light, and sound.
