Bombay Jayashri to perform in Dubai

Who said retail therapy is the highlight of Dubai Shopping Festival? On January 23, Oscar-nominated Indian classical vocalist Bombay Jayashri will perform at Dubai Community and Arts Theatre (Ductac) at Mall Of The Emirates as a part of DSF. In the show, Muscial Odyssey by Bombay Jayshri, the singer, whose career spans two decades, will take her fans into the world of Indian carnatic music. She will accompanied by Embar Kannan on the violin and percussionists J.Vaidyanathan on the Mridangam (two-headed drum) and Anirudh Athreya on the kanjira (South Indian frame drum).

Jayashri was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song for Pi’s Lullaby in Life of Pi.
