Noah Wyle

Who? Oh, c'mon! The former ER dude. Played Dr John Carter

Oh yeah. What's he done? Noah was arrested last week for taking part in a protest against government spending cuts in Washington DC.

And he got arrested for it? Isn't freedom of speech in the constitution or something? Awwww, bless your naïve heart. Sweetie, you can't wipe your nose in the US these days without getting arrested for it - apparently.

So, what went down? Noah joined about 100 other protestors who are opposed to plans to reduce the Medicaid programme, which activists say could force the elderly and disabled out of their homes to seek treatment in nursing facilities.

Sounds bad Well, the knowledge that the cops then handcuffed people who were in wheelchairs won't alter your opinion.

What did Noah say? Calling the experience "slightly surreal", Noah said that his four kids are "really proud of the old man right now."

George Clooney

Who? You're kidding, right?

Yeah, I am Oh, ha ha.

So, what's he done? George was arrested recently for protesting outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington DC.

What's that all about? George, and a host of others including his father, Nick, and Martin Luther King III, blocked the entrance to the embassy and were cuffed and arrested when they refused to move.

To what purpose? George is a vocal opponent of the Khartoum government and says he was "trying to raise attention" to help stop the plight of "innocent children".

What did George say? "It's actually a humiliating thing to be arrested... But I'm glad to be standing here with my father."

Daryl Hannah

Wh…? Don't start!

What happened? Daryl was arrested last year…

In Washington? Yep, in Washington, for protesting against a proposed oil pipeline from Canada to the US.

Was she setting fire to stuff? Erm, no, she sat down on the pavement near the White House and refused orders to move.

No wonder they arrested her! Sitting on pavements is unacceptable behaviour! Well, quite. Daryl wants the US government to start reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and…

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Have you quite finished…?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha… We give up.
