Director Joshy’s Avatharam, featuring Dileep and Lakshmi Menon, is a mass entertainer. Dileep plays Madhavan, who lives in the hilly region of Idukki and is content with the simple life there, until the accidental death of his elder brother, a customs officer, brings him to Ernakulam. Lakshmi Menon plays Manimeghala, an insurance office clerk who romances Dileep onscreen.

“Although this is a conventional entertainer, Dileep’s situational comedy makes it different,” said scriptwriter Vyaasan Eduvanakad.

Joy Mathews of Shutter fame plays a negative role. Produced by Four B Productions, Avatharam has music scored by Deepak Dev.
