‘Aake’ a Kannada supernatural thriller is an Indo-British collaboration

Look out for Aake a supernatural thriller directed by award winning filmmaker K.M. Chaitanya. The story is spread in London and Bengaluru with parallel narratives happening in the two cities.

Chiranjeevi Sarja plays the lead role of Shiva, an artist living in London. Sharmila Mandre plays a single mother living in Bengaluru.

Aake has an interesting cast that includes British actors Laura Wolfe, Shelly Ann-Harrison, along with Seema Parmar, Javed Khan and Atul Sharma. Chaitanya wrote the screenplay with Carl Austin. Ian Howes, who was associated with the popular Harry Potter series is one of the DOPs along with Malharbhatt Joshi. Gurukiran scored the music for Aake.

The thriller, produced by Kalai, Suri and Sunanda Murali Manohar in association with Eros International is the first Indo-British collaboration in Kannada cinema.
