Wondering what to watch this weekend? Fret not, we have you covered. Here's a look at Hollywood and Bollywood films/series:

Naadaaaniyan (Netflix):

Nadaaniyan

If you're in the mood for a lighthearted romantic comedy, Nadaaniyan might be a good start to your weekend. Be warned, it's nepotism-central. Starring debutant Ibrahim Ali Khan (son of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan) and Khushi Kapoor (daughter of the late icon Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor), the glossy movie follows a privileged Delhi socialite who hires a middle-class student to pose as her boyfriend—only for real emotions to complicate their arrangement. Directed by Shauna Gautam and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the film captures young love, class differences, and self-discovery with breezy storytelling. While it may not reinvent the genre, its youthful energy and engaging performances make it a fun watch.

Rekhachithram (Sony Liv):

Rekhachithram

This is a well-made Malayalam-language investigative thriller directed by Jofin T. Chacko. The story follows Vivek (Asif Ali), a police officer recently reinstated after a suspension, as he takes on a perplexing case—the apparent suicide of Rajendran, a man who confessed to a decades-old crime via social media before ending his life. As Vivek digs deeper, he uncovers eerie connections to the mysterious disappearance of a young girl from the filming location of the 1985 classic Kathodu Kathoram, set in the secluded hills of Malakkappara. With a powerhouse cast that includes Anaswara Rajan, Manoj K. Jayan, Siddique, Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan, and Indrans, Rekhachithram delivers a tense and immersive cinematic experience. If you enjoy crime mysteries with layers of intrigue and atmospheric storytelling, Rekhachithram is a film you won’t want to miss.

Love, Meghan (Netflix):

Meghan Markle in Love, Meghan

If you’re expecting an authentic lifestyle show, Love, Meghan might not be for you. Apparently, they are hate-watching this one! Agreed, Meghan Markle’s Netflix series feels overly curated, with staged moments like bee farming—because apparently, beekeeping is the new Bugatti. But if you are curious to know how the super-wealthy live, then this is a great pit-stop. Be warned, Meghan's interactions, especially with her bestie hairdresser, may seem scripted but her other BFF Mindy Kaling brings some authenticity into it. With Martha Stewart aesthetics and Jamie Oliver accessibility, the show tries to be aspirational and will appeal to those who love to cut and arrange fruits in a perfect circle.

Chaava (UAE cinemas):

Chhaava is ready to rule the box office - From IMDb

Vicky Kaushal leads the charge in Chhaava, one of 2025’s biggest box office hits, raking in a massive $76 million haul. This historical action spectacle dives into the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the fearless second ruler of the Maratha Empire, who battled Mughals. Directed by Laxman Utekar and featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, the film blends epic battles, political intrigue, and edgy action. Whether you’re here for the history or the high-stakes drama, Chhaava delivers both in spectacular style.

Vidaamayurchi (UAE cinemas):

Ajith Kumar and Trisha spearhead this gripping Tamil-language psychological thriller. It's about a couple on the verge of divorce who embark on a road trip. But things go south as Trisha's character goes missing. If you love stunts and emotionally-charged sequences, then this one is right up your street. Set against the raw terrain of Azerbaijan, it gives off a Western adventure vibe.
