‘Patti Cake$’ to screen in Dubai

The sleeper hit of the Sundance Film Festival, Patti Cake$, will be screening in Dubai from September 7 as part of DIFF365@VOX at cinema 9, Mall of the Emirates.

Geremy Jasper’s acclaimed feature film is a rags-to-riches story and has been heralded by critics as “an instant classic!” and listed as “one of the best films of the year.” In this coming-of-age story, an unlikely rapper, Patricia “Killa P” Dombrowski (newcomer Danielle Macdonald), finds her voice as a hip-hop legend in the making.

Patti Cake$ will run until September 20. Tickets are available online and at the Vox Cinemas box office.
