She says her new single, ‘Hello Ji’, is an original composition

TV actor-turned-VJ-turned-pop singer Komal Rizvi is best known for her superhit Bhangra track of 1999, Baooji. Her later musical outings proved to be non-starters. With her new single, Hello Ji, however, she is expected to make a comeback. The video of the song, filmed in a cafe somewhere in the ‘80s, presents her as a waitress, while comedian and writer Yasir Hussain plays a mafia don as well as her lover. Rizvi terms it “an original song” that she has written and composed, and also a “romcom” that she’s been “waiting to do for a long time.”
The video is directed by Akhlaque Mahesar for Shashkay Films.
