No room for rumours
Cindy Kurleto is Vic Sotto's love interest in their new movie. The two will team up in Ispiritista: Tay May Moomoo, a comedy film. Given Sotto's history of being linked with his leading ladies, director Tony Reyes has been quick to dispel such rumours concerning Kurleto and Sotto, adding that there wouldn't be any kissing scenes. He insists that it's a family movie.

Keeping his fingers crossed
John Lloyd Cruz has already won one more project on the strength of his presence in the yet-to-be-released film Dubai.

The project, which will see him paired opposite Wilma Santos, could be a movie or a TV soap. Cruz, however, is looking forward to working with the veteran actress. ‘I'll keep my fingers crossed for this one as I would love to work with a seasoned and experienced actress like Wilma," says Cruz.

Inspiring host
Sarah Geronimo is hosting her own show. The Little Big Star, a singing contest for children, will see children in two categories – 6-9 years and 10-13 years.

Geronimo is flattered to have been chosen to host the show and says that she took on the role of show host because she can see herself in the young contestants. "I was six years old when I first joined a singing contest and won. I know the show will be fun and hope I can be an inspiration to them," she says.

Quick takes

  • Final countdown? Sources have it that the fantasy series Kampanerang Kuba could soon be winding up. One of the reasons doing the rounds is that show ratings have fallen flat and are at its lowest in the award-winning series's history.
  • 10 and counting The cast of the comedy sitcom Bubble Gang will be visiting the US soon to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show. Michael V, Ogie Alcasid, Wendell Ramos, Antonio Aquitania, Boy2 Quizon and the rest of the gang will fly to the States next month for the celebration, which will also include the shoot of an episode for the series.
  • Age no bar Despite their age gap, Bryan Revilla is proud to admit that he really loves his actress girlfriend, 18-year-old Maui Taylor. The 23-year-old actor adds that when it comes to matters of the heart, age is not a factor. Revilla recently revealed in an interview that they have been going steady for two months.
  • Director's actor Wendell Ramos has dispelled rumours of being affected by his co-star Kris Aquino's boyfriend James Yap's presence on the sets of Sukob. "I am a professional actor, I will do whatever the director tells me to do and I don't care if there are a lot of people on the sets," says Ramos.
  • Wedding on hold Claudine Baretto and Raymart Santiago's scheduled wedding in January 2006 has been postponed. Baretto confirmed this while promoting her movie Dubai with Aga Muhlach and John Lloyd Cruz. There are no major reasons for the postponement except that January is a month when the winds are exceptionally strong and they are apprehensive if the marriage tent will hold. The wedding will now be held in March 2006.
