‘Megha' projects
Megha is riding high on the success of her latest release Sahib Loag. Besides, having performed in some live shows in the US, the lady was swamped with film offers on her return and what's more, she has replaced Nirma as one of the comperes on the hit TV show Madam Noor Jahan.

The star actress and dramatist is now hoping to cash in on some Pushto movies that could get her critical acclaim.

Luck's on her side
Nirma may not have been offered roles on a silver platter during her recent trip to India but she sure is on a roll in Pakistan. Evidently, the actress was signed on for a 100-episode soap on a Pakistan channel the moment she returned from her India sojourn.

And what with her role in Khalil Rana's Mohabbatan Sachiyan, being eagerly awaited by fans and critics alike, there is every reason for her to view her trip to India as a lucky one.

Make-up makeover
Shaan's hidden talents came to the fore when he got the late Noor Jahan's daughter Hina to look like her mother for a mobile phone campaign.

Hina, who lives in Dubai, was contacted by Shaan and flown down to Pakistan to do the shoot and was pleasantly shocked when she saw rushes of the ad film. She later went on to compliment and thank Shaan for a job well done.

Star trappings
Simran is on the route to stardom. The Indian model, who debuted in Reema's debut directorial venture Koi Tujh Sa Kahan, played her part to perfection opposite Babrak Shah and now has a fan following of her own. The actress is also being swamped with offers from the industry.

Quick takes

  • Joint venture Sajjad Ali's plans of making a movie that includes Indian stars seems to have shifted into high gear. The pop icon was approached by an Indian producer to direct a film and compose the soundtrack. It's rumoured that Ali has already recorded a few numbers with Indian singer Alka Yagnik. The cast of the film includes Saira Khan, Nirma and Behroze Sabzwari from Pakistan and Mahima Chaudhury, Suresh Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani from India.
  • Mother's recipe Fariha Jabeen will be playing screen mom in her latest project Dil Da Jani, which stars Shaan and Tabinda in the lead. The senior actress, known for having done similar roles in the past, made an impact with her lead role in Uxi Mufti's art film Naveen Nakore.
  • Meeting up with fans Shahid Khan was swamped by fans while shooting in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) for the Pushto film Zara Sham Da Gharibi Na. Pushto films are extremely popular in the NWFP and fans were thrilled when they got an opportunity to meet Khan and other members from the film's cast including Sidra Noor, Shehnaz Khan, Asif Khan and Imran Khan.
  • Waiting for Arsh Jafar Arsh's illness has stalled many a production in Lollywood. The popular scriptwriter was in the process of penning quite a few film scripts before suddenly falling ill and getting admitted to hospital. Now, producers are getting jittery because of their delayed projects and are hoping that he gets well in time to deliver.
