It's Mission Impossible to reach the set

Dubai: Talk about Mission Impossible: that’s exactly what it was to get anywhere near the Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol set at Dubai’s International Media Production Zone.

Road blocks, burst water pipes and security staff were just a few of the things making it tricky to get up, close and personal with the action.

Get there and it’s giant fans, columns of flat sacks, stacked high and warehouses full of equipment from lighting to props.

A crew, ferried around in white people carriers, are running around like ants while technicians work hard to create special effect rigs behind the scenes.

MI 4, starring Tom Cruise, is being filmed in Dubai for the next three weeks at various locations including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai International Financial Centre and the custom-built set at IMPZ.
