I'm not stupid, Joey is, says Matt LeBlanc

The 43-year-old actor, who is best known for his portrayal of the pizza-loving ladies-man in the series, thinks many people speak slowly to him because of his work on the sitcom, but it can play to his advantage, reports contactmusic.com.

"Being known as Joey always gives me an advantage going into any situation because their guard is down. They think I'm stupid. They speak nice and slow to me," LeBlanc said.

However, he has no regrets about playing the Italian-American hunk because people believed his portrayal so much they no longer know the difference between him and the character.

"If someone believes your performance you've done and really thinks you're that person, that's kind of a compliment."
