Singer Chris Brown was not allowed to leave Manila’s international airport on Wednesday morning following a court case filed by a concert promoter. Brown, who performed in the city on Tuesday, was on his way to Hong Kong for a concert.

A scheduled July 25 concert in Jakarta, Indonesia, has also been rescheduled, according to the singer’s tweet. It was not immediately known if the date change was related to his travel ban.

Brown, 26, was paid for his appearance at a New Year’s Eve concert at the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Kristo) at the Philippine Arena, the world’s largest dome in northern suburban Bulacan last December 31, complained Glicerio Santos IV, the chief legal counsel of INK and chief operating officer of the Maligaya Development Corp (MDC).

“After being paid for both their services, Mr Brown failed to appear and perform at the concert, to the damage and prejudice of MDC,” complained Santos.

INK asked assistance from the justice department to prevent producers and talents from employing “fraudulent schemes to obtain money from legitimate businesses in the country,” said Santos.

Also accused was Brown’s associate, identified as John Michael Pio Rada.

As a result, Brown was listed in the lookout bulletin of the Bureau of Immigration, said Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.

Brown held a concert at the Mall of Asia on Diosdado Macapagal Highway in suburban Pasay City on Tuesday night and arrived in the Philippines earlier aboard his private jet from Japan.

He claimed earlier that his concert in Manila last December had been cancelled due to the loss of his passport.

“#TeamBreezyJakarta due to safety concerns my show on July 25th will be rescheduled! Let’s keep spreading love around the world! #Pray4Peace,” Brown tweeted on Tuesday.
