The annual Sharmila Dance Extravaganza will be held at Centrepoint Theatre at the Dubai Community Theatre and Art Centre (Ductac) on April 20 and 21.

This 18th edition will feature an array of 22 dance styles, including hip-hop, contemporary, classical ballet, street jazz, Afro jazz and dancehall.

Speaking about the event, renowned choreographer, Sharmila Kamte said: “This show is truly a joint effort between my students, staff members and myself. It’s hard to imagine the amount of hard work, dedication and talent required to make it a success.

“Watching children as young as seven right up to professionals perform their hearts on stage is just simply wonderful.”

The stage performances will be held at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on both days, with tickets starting at Dh175.
