Love Aamir Khan? You’re not alone: The actor has fans among the Bollywood glitterati, too.

Actor Arshad Warsi, co-starring with Khan in “P.K.”, says the Indian film industry needs more people like the actor-filmmaker.

“Actors like Aamir should stay in the industry for as long as possible. We need more actors with the dedication that Aamir has, so that our industry can match international standards,” Warsi said in Mumbai on Monday.

Calling Khan a “phenomenon”, actor Vivek Oberoi said: “I am a big fan of not only his work, but even his professional ethics.”

Oberoi is yet to work with Khan, but says “the way he works is a great inspiration for all of us.”

Meanwhile his newphew Imran recalled how he was in tears to see his uncle die in the final scenes of ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’.

Imran played the role of young Raj (played by Khan) in his grandfather’s home production.

“I did see the film 25 years back, but I don’t remember much as I was small. I remember my mother telling me when we were seeing the trailer show that time during the ending of this film I cried a lot as Aamir mamu was dying and I had to be taken out,” Imran said at the special screening of the film. “I have some memories of being on the sets and being in the edit room,” he said.

And of course, his wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao, had only good things to say about the man called Bollywood’s perfectionist. “More than perfection, the defining quality is his passion towards cinema and art. He does all out of love. And that is why his commitment and performance has remained the same over the years and that’s why he has been here.” Rao added she watched ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ at least 13 times after its release.

“Of course I had seen it earlier. This is the first film seen on VCR, we were quite excited as my parents had bought new VCR. I had seen it 13 times. I am quite excited seeing the film yet again and meeting the cast and crew of the film,” she said ahead of the screening in Mumbai.
