Why Saif Ali Khan rejected ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was approached for a special appearance in Karan Johar’s directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil but couldn’t do it.

“Saif met with an injury during that time and was advised two months rest by his doctors. Karan is like family to Saif and Kareena. In fact, it was Saif who told Karan to cast another star for the role, as he wouldn’t be able to shoot for the film,” sources said.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is Khan’s wife.

Gossip mills were abuzz that Kapoor Khan and Khan were upset with Johar because the director chose Shah Rukh Khan for the cameo.

“These rumours are insensitive and extremely upsetting to Kareena. There is no truth to what is being reported,” a statement issued by Kapoor Khan’s spokesperson said.

Khan’s next release will be Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon.

At present, the actor is busy prepping for the Hindi version of Hollywood film Chef.

Kapoor Khan, who is pregnant with her first child with Khan, will soon begin work on Veere Di Wedding.
