Sonam Kapoor’s wedding festivities begin

Dubai: The wedding festivities for Sonam Kapoor have begun in Mumbai, with a star-studded mehendi or henna ceremony underway in Mumbai on Sunday evening.

The actress, who will wed Anand Ahuja on May 8, was all smiles dressed in a pink and lilac traditional attire as she was joined by the who’s who of Bollywood at the celebration. 

Meanwhile, her fiance was colour-coordinated in a pink traditional tunic as well for the function. 

Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor, along with cousins Arjun, Janhvi, Khushi, Anshula and Shanaya were all in attendance. Also present at the ceremony were Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji. 

The official hashtag for the wedding is something the couple has been using ever since they went public with their relationship is #everydayphenomenal. 

Over the next couple of days, Sonam’s famous friends, including Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, will also be performing at the sangeet ceremony.

According to reports, cousins Janhvi and Khushi will perform on their mother, the late Sridevi’s songs at the function.
