Filmmaker Vikas Bahl, who won audience praise for movies such as Chillar party and Queen, says that filmmaking is a hard-core business and everyone benefit from it.

Bahl, who has directed Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Shandaar, said: “The intention of filmmaking should be money making. It is not an NGO [non-governmental organisation] but a hard-core business and everyone should make money.”

Shandaar is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy produced by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

The film is based on destination weddings, and Bahl said: “I always wanted to make fun movie where people enjoy their time.”

The film is slated to release on October 22.
