Spokesperson slams reports that actress is being paid Rs110 million to star in ‘Padmavati’

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s spokesperson has slammed reports that actress Deepika Padukone has been paid around Rs110 million (Dh6 million) for her next film, Padmavati.
According to reports, Padukone is the highest paid actress in Bollywood and after bagging a Hollywood project and delivering back-to-back hit films in Bollywood, she has hiked her fee.
“The reports surrounding the star cast remuneration for Padmavati are completely false. The rumours are baseless and are being blown out of proportion,” Bhansali’s spokesperson said.
Padmavati, to be directed by Bhansali, also stars Ranveer Singh. The movie will be Padukone and Bhansali’s third collaboration, after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
