Sharjah ruler's wife to open international children's arts festival

Sharjah: Shaikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairwoman of Supreme Council for Family Affairs, will inaugurate on Tuesday the first international children's arts biennial in the Gulf region held at the Sharjah Arts Museum.

Over 1,800 artworks from 24 countries will be on display during the biennial, which is organised by the directorate of children's and young women's centres affiliated to the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.

The exhibition is divided into three categories based on the age of artists: 6-8, 9-12 and 13-16. The works on display are chosen from a total of 3,332 entries.
