Cultural cooperation deal enables schools to get new books

Dubai: A joint agreement between the Ministry of Education and the Centre for Culture and Heritage was signed yesterday to provide public schools with cultural and scientific books.

Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education, and Juma Al Majid, Chairman of the Al Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage, signed a cultural cooperation agreement to benefit around 10 schools from each educational zone by providing them with 300 various books for their lib-rary.

Dr Hassan said the agreement would enhance reading and research skills among students, teachers and principals and support the educational role of the ministry in training students and encourage them to read and develop their academic capabilities.
