Abu Dhabi reminds Mendes of Miami

Abu Dhabi: Hollywood actress and Calvin Klein model Eva Mendes put in a flying visit to the UAE with an appearance at the Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF).

The Bad Lieutenant actress chatted to Gulf News before walking the closing night red carpet with fellow star Naomi Watts. “This is my first time here in the UAE, and unfortunately, I’m flying out tomorrow. I was only able to come for closing night [of MEIFF].

I love the weather here. I was warned that it would be too hot, but it’s not. It reminds me of Miami, where I was born. Also, the people here are very warm and welcoming,” Mendes said.

Before leaving, she promised a return trip, adding: “It’s wonderful to be out here. I love the weather and you will see a lot of me from now on."
