Bollywood star gets a crash course in journalism in the Gulf News newsroom

Bollywood heavy-weight Aamir Khan may have called himself a "pretend journalist" as he guest-edited tabloid! on Sunday, but he is still that notorious perfectionist. 

In less than an hour, he had dished out opinions on what goes onto a page and tweaked the existing articles.

"Journalism is quite a tough job and I have no pretensions of being a journalist. So guys, I am depending on you to do a good job and I will take the credit for it," said Khan during a morning at spent with the tabloid! team at the Gulf News office.

The matinee idol is in Dubai to promote his latest production Peepli Live, a satire on rural farmers in India.

"Peepli Live is an honest portrayal of the urban-rural divide in India. It’s funny and inspirational," says Khan.

During his visit, he also managed to stir up a frenzy in the office as hordes of screaming fans welcomed the actor.
