Visitor numbers to Ras Al Khaimah jump 19% in 2017

Tourism body optimistic about reaching 1m visitor goal by 2018 end

Dubai: The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah saw a 19 per cent increase in the number of tourists visiting, with a strong pick-up in visits from emerging markets.

According to the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, the UAE remained the biggest source market for guests, accounting for almost half the visitors to the emirate in 2017.

The tourism body said it is optimistic about reaching its goal of a million visitors by the end of 2018.
