UAE issues travel warning on Sri Lanka

Abu Dhabi: The UAE on Sunday urged citizens to avoid travelling to Sri Lanka except in extreme emergencies, due to the current security conditions in the country, a Foreign Ministry official said.

The ministry asked UAE nationals who are already in Sri Lanka to contact the UAE embassy in Colombo and provide it with their contact details (phone numbers and addresses) in line with the UAE's desire to ensure the safety of its citizens abroad.
