Dubai: The Middle East has been a top priority for the French boating industry, which has showcased its very high added value offering at each Dubai International Boat Show. The 7th show hosts the French pavilion, bringing together companies representing the whole sector.

French boating boasts a splendid record. With nearly €5 billion (Dh23.93 billion) in sales, it comes in first place worldwide for sailboat and inflatable boat building, fourth for motor boat building and is one of the global leaders for board sports as well as sea-going and river charters.

As the fifth exporter in the world, France has, over the past few years, adjusted its geographic targets and placed the Gulf countries among its top priorities. It’s not very surprising when you consider that half of the superyachts belong to people residing in this region.

A forerunner in the industrial scale manufacture of surf and SUP boards, a benchmark manufacturer in the demanding surf market, BIC Sport is also a European market leader in sit-on-tops kayaks. In windsurf competition sailing, the firm is behind the Techno 293 One Design and has most recently focused its experience on launching an extensive range of Stand Up Paddle Boards.

Catana Catamarans is a specialist in fast cruising catamarans. They produce a range of customised catamarans ranging from 42 to 70 feet, designed for world cruising and are the only shipyards to build boats utilising the highly advanced Carbon Infusion and Twaron processes.

CSO Yachts is one of the oldest and most experienced yacht brokerage houses in the world. Synonym of flexibility, availability, professionalism and experience, they share with their customers a true passion for the sea and have a deep knowledge and experience of yachting.
