Dubai Parks and Resorts signs deal with China’s UnionPay

The move is another step to accommodate Chinese visitors

Dubai: Theme park operator Dubai Parks and Resorts said Sunday it has signed a strategic partnership with leading Chinese payment service UnionPay to introduce the facility for Chinese travellers visiting the UAE.

With six billion subscribers globally, UnionPay claims to have the largest cardholder base in the world. According to the statement from the pair, the partnership between Dubai Parks and Resorts and Union Pay started on August 1, 2018. Intended to target the growing number of Chinese visitors, the partnership follows the launch of the Hala China initiative.
