Dnata marks launch of Saudi arm

Dubai: Dnata Travel, the IATA accredited arm of Dubai's Dnata Agencies, is celebrating the launch of its commercial operations in Saudi Arabia.

Dnata Saudi is now poised for kingdom-wide growth, with a variety of retail and corporate services, many of them new to Saudi Arabia.

The success of the operation since its soft launch in August, and plans for future growth, were highlighted during a celebration dinner at the Holiday Inn, Al Khobar, in the Eastern Province.

Dnata's move into Saudi Arabia is its biggest investment outside Dubai, and is operated as a three-way partnership with Al Suw-aiket Trading and Contracting and NFS, both well-established diversified groups of companies based in the kingdom.

Shaikh Mubarak Al Suwaiket, chairman, Dnata Saudi, said: "The entry of Dnata Travel into Saudi Arabia marked the beginning of a new era in the kingdom's travel industry, where the top priority and focus is to ensure optimal customer service levels for our Saudi customers, supplemented by unmatched state-of-the-art technology."

Modelled on Dnata's Dubai flagship office, the Dnata Travel Centre in Al Khobar has the same One-Stop Travel Shop concept for retail and corporate travel services, with a 24-hour hotline for customers to access services all year round.

The Travel Centre also operates as Dnata's Headquarters in Saudi Arabia and will soon be joined by Regional Offices in Riyadh and Jeddah.
