Nakheel awards Dh38 million contract for Al Furjan mosque and retail centre

Dubai: Nakheel has awarded a Dh38 million contract to Al Sakher Contracting for a new mosque and a second retail centre at its Al Furjan community in Dubai, according to a company statement on Wednesday.

The 8,000 square foot mosque will accommodate 500 worshippers, alongside a 90,000 square foot Nakheel Pavilion retail centre, which will feature more than 35 shops, cafés, restaurants and services including a nursery, gym and supermarket.

Leasing is underway. The project is set to open in 2017.
