Equine Edutainment Park to be set up at Dubailand

New project at Dubailand promises the 'ultimate equine experience'

Dubai: The first Equine Edutainment Park will be set up in the Dh1.6 billion Al Kaheel project located in Dubailand's Eco Zone.

The complex will have a stunning collection of equine-centric attractions. Included in the facility will be a state-of-the-art Equine Discovery Centre where visitors will be entertained and educated about horses. In addition there will be a theatre where equine films will be shown continuously throughout the day.

Al Kaheel offers 400 residences in beautifully preserved desert landscape surrounding Dubailand's Eco Zone.

"It will be a horse lover's paradise and a place where the uninitiated can discover, interact and connect with horses," said Machhour Moukaddem, the Managing Partner of the project.

The destination

The Equine Edutainment Park complex will have a stunning collection of equine-centric attractions. There will be a state of the art Equine Discovery Centre where visitors will be entertained and educated about horses.

"If you love horses this is the destination," said Eileen Verdieck, Equine director.

There will be a ‘Palace of the Horse', a magnificent barn to accommodate all variety of horse breeds from around the world. A Meet the Horse pavilion meant for young inexperienced horse lovers is also being created. Youngsters can indulge in horseback riding in a safe and controlled environments. There will be special stables for the residents.

The complex will also have the equine training centre. This centre will educate people to the many proven methods of training horses over the ages. Plans are on to stage weekend horse fair at Al Kaheel Park.

Al Kaheel Park will also be the home of the region's first accredited world-class school of horsemanship. This academy will teach a variety of certified courses.

To ensure outstanding performances from race horses, Al Kaheel will create an Equine Spa and Therapy Centre. This centre is dedicated to the rehabilitation and physical and mental well being of the sports horses from all disciplines.

Al Kaheel has roped in Jos Lansink, the World Equestrian champion as their ambassador. He will provide his expertise in the setting up of this unique equine park.

"Al Kaheel will emerge as a distinctively different resort. I am sure Dubai will become the destination of choice for all international horse enthusiast," said Lansink. Simon MacCorkindale, movie actor and horse lover along with actress Susan George attended the function, which announced the details of the project.

Luxury resort for horse lovers

  • Indoor climate controlled arenas will be used year round for international events, competitions, trade fairs and horse shows.
  • Equine Tranining Centre will be the facility in which all all the park's equine residents will be trained for future jobs in the horse industry.
